HAY PELLETS – MOST MODERN APPEARANCE OF MOST POPULAR TRADITIONAL FORAGE
TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED ANIMAL FEED FOR ALL KINDS OF HERBIVORE ANIMALS
Natural grassland hay is a great forage for most of herbivore animals. But sometimes it is not so easy to store and handle the hay in loose form. Very often it is dusty and it does not meet the safety requirements as forage for dust sensitive animals, especially horses.
The idea to introduce a new product that offers the best feeding experience was prompted by basic benefits of pelletized materials. On these basics was created advanced hay based feed product suitable for all animals like horses, ponies, camels, alpacas, cows, bulls, calves, rabbits, etc.
Improving conventional hay to the most advanced hay product on the market there was installed advanced hay chopping, milling, few steps dust separation and pelleting systems. To meet the best safe diet requirements NordicGrass® hay pellets are produced from natural grasslands hay where fertilizers and pesticides have not been used for decades.
Meadows are harvested at the right time of maturation what ensures low protein and a high raw fibre content that helps to maintain healthy intestinal flora to ensure the optimal horse nutrition.
Continuing good hay feeding traditions, the NordicGrass® hay pellets can be used as a basic single feed, concentrated feed replacement or as a supplement to the grain ration.

SEPARATE COMPONENT BENEFITS
HAY
- Hay serves as a foundational component of the equine diet, offering a balanced blend of nutrients essential for supporting overall health, performance, and well-being in horses.
- Hay contains essential nutrients such as protein, vitamins (e.g., vitamin A, vitamin E), and minerals (e.g., calcium, phosphorus), which are vital for various physiological functions, including muscle development, immune system function, and bone health.
- Rich in dietary fiber, primarily in the form of cellulose and hemicellulose, which are crucial for maintaining digestive health and proper bowel function in horses.
- The carbohydrates in hay, mainly in the form of structural polysaccharides, serve as a valuable energy source for horses, supporting their metabolic needs and physical activities.
- The roughage provided by hay promotes healthy microbial fermentation in the horse's hindgut, aiding in the digestion and utilization of nutrients while reducing the risk of digestive disorders like colic and gastric ulcers.
- Hay can be effectively utilized in feeding programs to help manage a horse's weight, providing bulk and satiety without excessive calorie intake, which is beneficial for maintaining a healthy body condition score.
